A multidisciplinary performance work sometimes as raw as whip weals, Sobriety Twist delves into a dark world of pain and pleasure in ‘Nocioception Part II: Narrative to Concept’. Developed from her ‘Nocioception’ show at the Edinburgh Fringe last year, this new piece is both an intellectual and intensely physical dissection of sadomasochism’s relation to the human psyche and society’s controlling structures.
