What happens when someone asks you all the
questions they want to ask next to all the things
they shouldn’t?
On entering a living room, with a distinct smell
and the impression that someone has not long
departed you are questioned and confronted by a
recorded female voice. As the narrative unfolds
it becomes clear that you have been assigned
the role of her significant other. Can a space be
charged with the energy of a relationship – the
smell in the carpet, the impression left in the
chair? And will one feel a responsibility towards a vulnerable stranger, even a digital recording?
